The Detroit Chapter of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society.

 

The chapter was founded on Dec. 17, 1967, as the Armenian Cultural Association. Ten years later, the Association joined the Hamazkayin family. The chapter has a dance troupe, the Detroit Hamazkayin Arax Dance Ensemble, and once had a theater company. The chapter has organized lectures and events celebrating Armenian authors.
